There may come a time when your clock, barometer, or other Weems & Plath instrument needs service, either due to a leaky battery, being knocked off the bulkhead of the boat, dropped, age, etc. We’ve likely seen it all – and we’re here to help.
If you need repair to any of our products, our Repair Request form can be found on-line. Fill it in, making certain that we have your complete contact info including phone number and email, letting us know what the problem is in as much detail as possible. Package your clock carefully with the form (if the face and movement lift out of the brass case easily, you don’t have to send the case) and send to the Annapolis address on the form.
Generally within five business days of receiving your package, you will receive an email from Weems & Plath’s Customer Service rep, letting you know what the issue is, estimated time to fix it and whether there is any cost involved (yes, many of our products are warranted though some exclusions, like battery corrosion, do apply). Your repair will be turned around and sent back to you as quickly as possible.
The movements in our timepieces are proprietary and are not sold separately. Taking your clock to someone else for repair or attempting DIY repairs will void any warranty. The skilled clockmakers here at Weems & Plath are well-versed in repair of all our products.
If you have questions about how to re-set your clock, adjust your barometer or use other W&P products, check out our online video library. You’ll find tips and info on many of our products there. And if you have suggestions for future videos on our site, we’d love to hear from you.
Need more info? Feel free to call us at 1-800-638-0428. We’re here Monday-Friday between 8:30-5 Eastern time.
In the meantime, here’s a quick video on how to set-up your Weems & Plath 8-Day Wind Clock.
